Klangwelt Toggenburg offers unique experiences on the topics of sound, resonance, culture, voice and much more. Experience it in sound courses, on the Klangweg, at festivals and concerts, in the Klangschmiede and in a few years also in the Klanghaus at the Schwendisee. The high-quality offers are aimed at amateurs, hobby musicians or professional musicians as well as connoisseurs and families.
hiking
The Toggenburg whit the seven Churfirsten peaks and the Alpstein massif is a hiking paradise. Experience untouched nature, lived tradition and culture on hikes through the picturesque landscape. From theme and adventure trails for families to mountain tours lasting several days - with us every guest will find the right route.
biking
Alt St. Johann lies on the Alpine Panorama Route St. Margrethen - Aigle. The Toggenburg offers countless possibilities for cyclists and mountain bikers. Our house has a lockable bike cellar and a 12-hour laundry service. A bikeshop for accessories and repairs is located in the neighbouring village.
fly fishing
The idyllic creek Thur flows past our house. Ambitious fly fisherwomen and sporty hobby fishermen are offered the opportunity to live out their passion on our own leased route (15 km). The course is especially suitable for fly baits. The river is 6-10 m wide and meanders gently through our beautiful, picturesque valley. A paradise for every fishing enthusiast!
The fishing season lasts from May to September. During a stay in the Landhaus you can acquire a fishing license. More information about fishing courses can be found here.
